40 this weekend… and feel like an OAP

Please tell me it can get better.

I have baby weight to lose but am not obese or anything. But over the last year or so,my joints now click when I move, I’m starting to have niggling pains in muscles I didn’t know existed and I’m lacking in energy. Also losing hair. I have 2 kids and work full time but that’s no excuse.

It coincided with me turning 38 and having my second kid and for a while I hoped my ageing body was simply due to being postnatal. Alas it’s not.

And now I’ve realised that I will just decline in physical agility/strength/flexibility going forwards rather than flourish. And I’m not even talking about the aesthetics

please can someone give me hope that it doesn’t need to be this way with exercise, sleep and a good diet

Better? Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳🥂🍰

Once you've recovered (ish) from your well-deserved celebrations, you might want to get checked over for obvious things like low thyroid, vitamin or mineral deficiencies and malevolent demons. Okay, maybe not demons but there very often is a simple reason for feeling totally worn down. Once you find it and fix it, you've got better resources to handle the lifestyle stuff.

Have a great weekend!
