Ex slagging me and ds off to my dd

I have 2 children with my ex they see him every other weekend. Sometimes my dd gos with them as well . Which is really kind of him and he's taking her in holiday with them etc. She's 14 and they get on well . But there's a really horrible side to him . He said the below to her. I copied and paste from dd message. I don't even get ds money that's his . And also ex is in his late 50s living with his mum. What makes him think its OK to even say that sort of shit to dd . I know i just ignore but I just think wtf .

When we were in the park on Sunday M was talking about how he was thinking about moving out and stuff then he turned it into talking about C* how he’s playing the mental health card so he’s not gonna get a job or his own place etc. then started saying hes the reason why u can spend money and things cs u get like 700 pound in total for the 2 boys every month and ur just a ponce.And he said without him u would be fucked for life

I think it’s best to not take it seriously. The man is very clearly a twat who is living in cloud cuckoo land. You can’t take that seriously. It’s laughable. Just roll your eyes and say ‘righto’ to yourself DD. And then chuckle to yourself about how privileged you are that his £700 a month allows you to go jet setting all over the world, drive a luxury car and dress in Dior. Aren’t you a lucky girl?!

Yeah, he’s a complete twat. Which is why you don’t take him seriously. I’m completely butchering this expression now, but a lioness doesn’t concern herself with the opinions of a dung beetle. It’s comedic that he seriously thinks that the £700 a month he gives you is enough to cover half the expenses of raising two boys, plus pay for you to live a lavish lifestyle.

If you really, really want your daughter to see how silly he’s being, you don’t need to even mention his name or justify your spending. You just need to teach her about the family finances. What you’ve got coming in, what you’ve got going out, and how much is left after bills have been paid. Ask her what she’d prioritise and teach her how to set up a budget. She’ll realise he’s a dickhead (even if only subconsciously) and she learns how to budget for a household; something every teen should learn to do.

OP’s daughter has had a conversation with OP’s ex, who is the father of two of her children. Ex has told OP’s daughter that he’s thinking of moving out of his parent’s house. He’s given his opinion that the OP’s son, C, is using his mental health as an excuse to not get a job, and he has told OP’s daughter that the OP is able to spend whatever she likes because he pays her £700 a month in child support and that, without his financial contribution to the household, the OP would be completely financially fucked.

As it happens I thought the OP had copy and pasted HIS message to her daughter, and I didn't know who M and C were, so I was thoroughly confused. Once the OP had clarified who M was, I realised I had misunderstood.

Because, tbf, your post really sounded like you were being twatty about a teenage girl’s texting style. The OP said that she’d copied and pasted it from her daughter’s message, so it didn’t occur to me that you’d think the message was from anyone other than her daughter.

I read it as if the ex is bitching to his daughter that OP is getting high rate pip for for her son but it's playing the 'mental health card', insinuating that thats why OP doesn't want him to move out?

I misread it myself. Ex was bitching to my daughter. I also thought he was saying I spend my sons pip. Then I reread it and realised he was talking about the child maintenance he pays. The comment about my son not getting a job and never leaving home was just for the sake of slagging off.

Younger ds just told me dad said C (my ds) is not their true brother. Because they have a different dad. Yet bangs on about how his adult daughters are their sister. The blokes a prick .
