Bibury. Exquisite.

Very small though.

Burford is lovely and some nice eateries. Similarly Stow on the Wold, Tetbury or Cirencester.

How about a visit to Westonbirt arboretum for a nice walk then lunch in Tetbury?

Are you looking North or South? I don't know the South Cotswolds well, but if you're looking at the North, I have a sentimental attachment to Chipping Campden (went to school there, and married in the very beautiful church). There are nice walks around, and pleasant tea rooms.

Another option is a walk around Broadway Tower.

If you have children, I'd go for Bourton on the Water. My DC are now young adults, but have happy memories of paddling in the river, and visiting Brum and the model village.

The Slaughters are nice, and have a good circular walking route.

Bourton on the water. Along with 25 billion tourists...

Fair point. But children tend not to bothered by other people.

Chipping Norton is nice for a day out

Lunch at the Lamb, Great Rissington, then walk through the village and down to the River Windrush for a paddle. Walk back through the beautiful fields & lanes.

Kingham has nice restaurants. And Daylesford for a bit of shopping.

Park by The Swan at Southrop and go for a walk to Eastleach. There is a nice pub there too called The Victoria Inn.

Bourton on the Water is a hellhole btw!!

Oh thanks for all this suggestions
I’m going to need to google these
but thank you so much
yes I’m thinking nice roast dinner options or other lunch options
think I’m going to start with bibury and Arlington row, but yes paddling options are very welcome as going with kids
