Waiting for day case surgery - bored and hungry

It's only 8am - how can I be so hungry? Probably because I'm bored. A private room is nice, but dull dull dull. I've brought knitting and I've got my phone. Wish I'd brought the laptop, I could have got some work done.

I feel your pain! Had to fast all day yesterday as I was in for surgery. Toast at 10pm was the best tasting ever! I think you’re more hungry when you know you can’t eat.
I’m desperate to go home and eat properly but been told that isn’t happening imminently. So I’ve got a book and my phone with signal that isn’t reliable.

It's horrible when you think you'll be going home same day and then have to stay another night. I should be home this evening, but I've brought overnight stuff just in case. Hope you recover quickly.
