Blue badgw, can you have a temporary one,

Ive had an op 6 months recovery, lots of hospital appointments, car park and parking a nightmare. Cant walk too far, same shopping can I appy for a blue badge?

No, they're not available for temporary conditions such as recovery from surgery

At our council you can apply for a temporary 12 month one if recovering from, or awaiting treatment for, serious illness or injury, so it would depend on your local authority and if they agree your post operative recovery warrants it.

Does your hospital do a season ticket where you pay a monthly fee (a lot less than normal parking) ours does - might be worth enquiring.

Thanks I'll look into this. Im sure I would qualify based on this if my local council did this
