Who has the loveliest neighbour

I have. Well perhaps. He takes in parcels, sorts out my coal delivery, let me know I hadn't locked my car and today knocked because my car hadn't moved all week (I'm off sick). He deals with people who ring my bell when I'm in work etc. Good old Mr Nextdoor.

Can we have a nice thread about lovely people....

I love my neighbours. One of them has become a close friend. My neighbours from the first house I bought are still friends. It’s great having nice neighbours.

My lovely neighbours are Afghan refugees. They always put my bins out. Not long after they moved in they sent us a Christmas card. We now exchange cards at Eid as well.

Mine helped me out when the cat brought home a mouse and I was alone. I’m terrified of them and she rescued the mouse from the cat. She’s the best neighbour ever!

We are blessed with two lots of lovely neighbours. My longstanding neighbour has cooked meals when we were ill, taken us out to cheer us up after the dog died, let the same dog use her garden as it is bigger, fed the cats, and done countless other kindnesses. Of course it is not one way, we also do things for her.

Our other neighbours of 6 years have cut our hedge for us, had us to dinner when we had renovations and are generally the nicest people you could ever meet. We socialise with both sets, and sometimes the whole lot of us together. We are very lucky.

My neighbour is a retired English teacher. When my children were small, she used to write funny little poems for them, based on things she had seen them do, like petting her dogs or cycling to school or playing on their trampoline. They were just so lovely and thoughtful and very clever. She has always been the easiest, most pleasant person to have as a neighbour.
