LAST MINUTE WBD COSTUME FOR ME! IDEAS PLEASE!

helphelphelpmeee · 05/03/2025 18:00

Work have just sent an email saying all staff are required to dress up tomorrow for a photoshoot.

Help help help!

Things I have in my wardrobe:

Lots of leopard print

Lots of sequins

Dungarees

Flowery dresses

Usual boring jeans, T-shirts, jumpers.

Any suggestions please?

The theme this year is something about love of reading. Do you have a favourite book involving a jeans and jumper type character?

Failing that, rock the leopard print and say it's the jungle book. (Yes I know Africa and Asia are different continents - but it's last minute).

Bridget Jones?

Bridget Jones?

That would work.
Messy hair. Carry a notebook with DIARY written on the front and a wine glass.
Short skirt if possible.

White skinny jeans, boots, damp shirt - Mr Darcy

Br1ll1ant · 05/03/2025 18:14

A muggle? Then you can wear whatever you want!

MyBigFatGreekSalad · 05/03/2025 18:19

Do you have a red stripe top? Could wear that with dungarees and be where's Wally?!

ODFOx · 05/03/2025 18:27

Are you a teacher? Princess Smartypants wears dungarees, if you can get away with a children's book.

Flowery dress = Miss Honey (Matilda) is probably the easiest.

Or if you're feeling like puzzling them, then put your clothes on with a twist and you can be "All over (Oliver) Twist". No that isn't my original idea.

Is this for school, and what age do you teach may help with ideas.

MissEloiseBridgerton · 05/03/2025 18:33

That is an insane last minute decision!! Where do you work?!?

xWren · 05/03/2025 18:34

Luna Lovegood if you’re blonde - Dungarees, colourful T-shirt/jumper underneath, colourful boots and odd socks, crazy wavy hair.

Miss Honey (Matilda) if you’re brunette - Pretty dress, nice neat hair, simple make-up, a big book and a pencil to hand.

buy a newspaper and wrap your self in it plus sticky tape to hold in place

”old news”
or “hot off the press”
or “Miss Print”

strawlight · 05/03/2025 18:39

Just pretend you haven’t seen the email and offer to be the photographer.

wafflesmgee · 05/03/2025 18:39

Leopard print, be the leopard from the Girl Who Lost Her Leopard.

CandyCane457 · 05/03/2025 18:46

Is it your first year in this school? And if not, what happened last year? Did the staff not dress up then?
In my school we’ve never actually been told to dress up, it’s always just been assumed, all the staff always do!
Id go for the leopard print and be an animal from a book!

Teachymummy · 05/03/2025 18:48

Flowery dress and go as miss honey? That's what I'm doing!

stayathomer · 05/03/2025 18:49
