Bamix or Braun MultiQuick hand blender

Which one would you get? I've just had to throw away mine and would like to get something that will do the job and hopefully last. Does anyone have any experience of either of these? Your views are gratefully appreciated

No experience of the Braun, but I love my Bamix and I think I’ve had it for around twenty years now.

Bamix, mine has been going strong for over 20 years and is used regularly.

Oh gosh, 50 50.

I think one thing that I am curious about is the wattage as the Bamix is much lower than the Braun and I wondered how it copes. I'd worry the motor would be under more strain and burn out quickly, but then I've read many people say theirs has been going for 25 years...

I love my Bamix. I have two and prefer the one with a coiled cable.

Bamix - had ours for over 20 years, it’s used multiple times a week. Purchased one as a wedding gift and my friend still talks about it 5 years later!

I’ve only had my bamix for a few years, and not tried the Braun, but I absolutely love it and it gets used so much. I have the Swiss line one which I got on a great Black Friday deal at lakeland

I have a Braun that is 25 years old, used lots and still going strong.

I've just bought the new Braun one, it's great, a good substitute for a food processor in a small kitchen.

Bamix. Also had mine for 20 years. Regularly use it, together with its grinder and slicer attachments.

Bamix. I've had it 5 years and still love it. It enabled me to get rid of my Braun and my small food processor.

Thanks all. I've decided to go for the Bamix. I really don't need more plastic pots and attachments in my cupboard that the Braun has, but I like that should I want to, I can buy extra bits for the Bamix.
