Would you book the holiday today?

Looking to book a holiday but saw something that said holidays are cheapest on a Wednesday so was waiting until tomorrow.

Jet2 have an offer on at the moment that gives us a £360 discount on our holiday of choice. Making the cost just under £3k.

Would you book today or would you wait until tomorrow and risk it going up?

I don't know if a Wednesday price-drop is a thing or not. Have you also priced it up with TUI, easyJet holidays or Opodo?

ChocolateEmergency · 04/03/2025 20:25

Yeah I’ve checked everywhere that this is the best price, just don’t want to book and then it drops lower tomorrow.

Book it and don't look again if you are happy with today's price. I book quite a few holidays and you'd drive yourself mad waiting for Xmas sale, Feb sale, black Friday etc. The prices go up and down so just work to your budget and book when you're happy with the price.

Don't forget to clear all the cookies before you book!

Jet2 aren't just randomly going to drop the price of a holiday package overnight. Confused

ChocolateEmergency · 05/03/2025 06:53

@IMissSparkling you’re right, they increased it by £700! So glad I booked!

That’s wild!!! I wish this kind of pricing would some day become illegal - it’s so hard to understand. Can you imagine if your Tesco shop worked like that??

greatfrontage · 05/03/2025 07:07

(And yes I know that some supermarkets in the US want to bring it in.)

I find it’s always cheapest to fly on a Tuesday (maybe it’s where we fly from and not an overall trend) but I didn’t know that on specific days the actual package prices really changed so drastically!

Clear your cookies when you are holiday shopping. When you keep going back and forth and checking the price the cookies are tracking all that and you'll often see the price to make you panic into booking. It's really is a thing! Confused

See the price jump^^
