What a strange question! Just now, a piece of paper id dropped.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 03/03/2025 13:06

A stray rabbit poo.

Kpo58 · 03/03/2025 13:08

Often I just pick up the item with my feet. Saves bending over. 🤷‍♀️

Ifailed · 03/03/2025 13:24

I've just come back from my allotment, spent a couple of hours digging/weeding.

Now sitting down with a cup of tea with a sore back!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 03/03/2025 13:24

Hand weights in the gym. I'm just about to go and pick the laundry basket up off the floor to bring clean laundry upstairs.

Upstartled · 03/03/2025 13:25

Just a few minutes ago, to pick washing up from the basket and hang on the line.

Lovelysummerdays · 03/03/2025 13:26

All my health and safety training is saying don’t bend over. Squat like a toddler and protect your spine!

Pigcasso · 03/03/2025 13:27

I got vertigo so I bought a grabber gadget 😄

Cattery · 03/03/2025 13:29

Earlier today; the cat litter tray

Deedeesharpwhatkindoflady · 03/03/2025 13:30

A sponge cake out of a bottom kitchen drawer.

Look up a specific manoeuvre that can shift crystals in the inner ear - A game changer for me

You tube shows how to do it-
Benign Positional vertigo is often due today these crystals that can be dislodged.

( Can’t remember name of exercises, only that they work for many people)

Which is very good advice, providing you don't have dodgy knees! I can't squat due to an old knee injury, my cartilage slips, my knee locks and I end up in agony for several days whilst I wait to see the (private) physio again.

Constantly picking things up off the floor particularly when I'm cooking, carrots tend to fly off the chopping board the most!

VenusClapTrap · 03/03/2025 14:33

A piece of gravel that had been kicked inside through the back door.

dustyglasses · 03/03/2025 14:37

I try to squat rather than bend too.

theboffinsarecoming · 03/03/2025 14:38

Half an hour ago - footwear related.

MovingSwiftlyOn · 03/03/2025 18:08

@oakleaffy it's the Epley Manoeuvre, and it always helps DH when he has an attack!

FinallyHere · 03/03/2025 20:38

Team squat with straight back

Bending from the hips is fine, but my hamstrings are just not flexible enough.

dontforgetme · 03/03/2025 20:39

A rogue sock on my DD's floor.

EveryOtherNameTaken · 03/03/2025 20:45

An empty biscuit packet just now.

waukesha · 03/03/2025 20:50

A children's story book 30 seconds ago. I've got a 2 year old and a 6 month old^^ so I bend over to pick something or someone up approx every 30 seconds of every minute of every day Smile

Lifealittleboulder · 03/03/2025 20:53

A washing basket off the floor in the hall, to
go and get the washing from the line (in the dark because I’d forgotten about it 😅)

richardosmanstrousers · 03/03/2025 20:59

You have asked when but answered what

tobee · 04/03/2025 00:19

About an hour ago - a bag containing shower gel which was leaking on the carpet
