What's the longest you'd wait for an overdue appointment?

I'm sat in a doctors surgery waiting to be seen. My appointment was 11.40 so we're now over an hour waiting. I asked reception after 25 minutes how long it would be, and they said doctor had two other patients , then me. It's now gone over an hour.
I only booked an hour and a half off work.

Apparently I'm next.

Would you continue to wait ? Or what's the cut off time you'd wait for ?

For context , it's an appointment they asked me to make to review results of an ecg scan.

if its important like test results I would wait something just general I would rebook.
thing is it seems a long time when you are sat waiting but when you are in surgery times flies
you do not know what other patients are there for could be terminal mental health etc there are times if my mental health has been bad I have been grateful for the Dr listening not rushing me

If it's the NHS you're kind of stuck for options on what else to do but wait to be honest. So annoying though, I'd leave a bad Google review at least.

I waited 3 hours for my first smear. I lived abroad at the time and was 18 and because it was my first, it was customary for the doctor to give you a little talk about what would happen and why it’s important to have them done. So the nurse put me in her office to wait for the little lecture.

Except everyone forgot I was in there and I was 18 and too nervous and polite to be like, wtf, why is this taking forever?! So I just waited. Finally the doctor came back to her office to do her admin at the end of the day and found me still patiently waiting for her to talk to me about why she wanted to see my cervix. 😂

I waited 45 minutes for an appointment at the optician. He’d already changed the appointment day, because it was his child’s birthday and he wanted to be there. 🤷‍♀️. Then he changed the time and asked if I could go half an hour earlier, which I did.

Having kept me waiting so long, he faffed about and his next patient, who’d obviously been waiting too, cast daggers looks at me. DH was waiting for me too, having had to increase the parking cost.

I’m not going there any more.
