paramedics - what thank you gift??

Hi

we had 4 incredible, amazing paramedics deliver our baby this week after a very unexpected short labour!

we’ve already reached out to the patient experience line and sent an email with their details on to personally thank them, but as I know which station they are based at, I’d like to get them a thank you gift, as I really don’t think these amazing people get thanked enough.

i was thinking a Costa gift card so they can grab a drink/treat on their shift, but wondered if any paramedics or anyone has any other thoughts? I won’t be able to personally give it to them, but I hope the gift will reach them.

Congratulations on your baby!!
Costa card definitely a great idea,.and maybe some nice cakes/chocs for the station for the whole team?

Chocolates always go down a treat! Maybe a box for the staff room or something. Maybe a little picture of LO on a thank you card if you’re comfortable with that idea!

What a lovely thing to do!

Congratulations 🥳 I hope you are all doing well. A Costa gift card is a great idea. Who doesn't want a lovely coffee when they've got chance x

That would be so lovely. My brother is a paramedic and would be very touched. They don't get a lot of thank yous.

Costa drinks cards are much appreciated, a separate one for each crew member as they will often be crewed up with different people. Ideally drop off at the ambulance station if you know it, if addressed with their name they will find their way to them even if they are working out of a different station. Or m+s as all the ones I know are addicted to Percy pigs.

A local doctor who was resuscitated by paramedics sent in champagne, but that was considered exceptional!

(Ambulance family speaking).

Lovely idea, am certain they'll love whatever you send. We sent a couple of afternoon tea boxes to the palliative district nursing team who helped us care for my mum at home after she first, just as a little thank you.

I would get a handful of gift cards for Costa and Greggs as I always see paramedics nipping into our local one.

Box of chocolates etc are a nice gesture but they’ll get good use out of a gift card.

Oh and congratulations!

And, if you had good advice over the phone please send a thank you for that via pals - the call takers and dispatchers can get forgotten in the excitement but they make it all happen.

Of course the ultimate accolade is to name the baby after a crew member 🤣

I'm a student paramedic and I would absolutely love a little card and maybe even a pic of baby, something to look back on when I'm retired or tough days...Costa card would go down a treat too

Congratulations x

Aww congratulations OP and how lovely of you.

I think a card with pic of baby and 4 coffee vouchers would go down a treat what a fab idea!
