Blenheim Palace at Christmas - worth it?

Just trying to be more organised than I usually am, and have looked at a day out at Blenheim over Christmas.

Ticket would include Palace tour (themed like Oz i believe this year) , Illuminated Light Trail and, to go the whole hog, the Afternoon Tea.

Cost would be around £300.

Has anyone been before? Is it a good day out? Or are we going to feel like cattle being herded around in a crowd?

Family of 4, kids are 8 and 10.

We just did the illuminations trail in December and it was beautiful. Didn't feel like cattle, there was space for everyone to walk etc. The market was lovely. However, we didn't think it was worth the price. We went to one at a national trust the year before that we thought was better and was half the price.
