Recommendations for Haven holidays nearer to Manchester,

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a haven holiday site that's maximum 2.5 hours away from Manchester?

Ideally somewhere that has a nice beach and is scenic.

Thanks

Marton Mere but no direct beach access. Personally the one with the best beach and only one within that distance with a direct beach access path that isn't a pain in the bum, is Reighton Sands. They have their own private beach and a tractor trailer to take you up & down.
However, facilities wise Primrose Valley is the best. There is beach access there but I was never able to find it personally.
Depends what your priorities are. Young kids? Definitely Primrose Valley. It's their flagship park and loadsss of activities including a funfair.
Older kids or a peaceful break? Reighton Sands.
There is also Thornwick Bay but beach is a short drive away and another one near Blackpool but there's no beach.

Happy to answer anymore questions as a seasoned Haven guest! 😁

I would recommend Reighton Sands and Cleethorpes Beach, we have had lovely holidays at both. Both sites have mega easy beach access. Primrose is a much bigger site than both, but personally I wouldn't recommend it. We went last summer and the swimming pools and changing areas were absolutely filthy. I'm normally fairly laid back but I wouldn't set foot back in Primrose Valley again.

The Prestatyn one is good - loves beaches and sand dunes. It takes me around 1.5 hours from Manchester.

Hafan y Mor in North Wales is the best one in my honest opinion and that's surely only about 2.5 hours?

I agree with this, sorry I completely forgot about Wales! Hafan Y Mor is amazing, it has the best facilities by far. Greenacres is also lovely, it's alot smaller than Hafan Y mor, but it's very clean and has a beautiful beach.

Yes I forgot to mention Hafan Y Mor! It's a fabulous park. You really don’t need to leave at all, there's everything there including a fu-on water park and even a cake shop!
Just a tip if you do go though, ignore how long Google maps tells you it takes to get there! It's farrrrr longer as the roads in that part of Wales are those super narrow 'should-be-one-way-but-aren't' kind that traumatise you and make you wish you had a helicopter & a winch! 🚁 Google maps seems to think that as it's a 60 limit, that it's actually possible to do 60 - it is not! 😜
