One freebie I've got into recently is signing up to companies that give you a free treat on your birthday. Off the top of my head, I signed up for Gail's reward app and got a free coffee and then on my birthday got a free sweet treat. I signed up for Greggs reward app and got a free doughnut on my birthday. Fancier companies like Diptyque give you a free gift too but I think you have to buy something first. I think you get something with SpaceNK too.
Last year, I joined classpass which gave me 20 free credits so I could try out exercise classes like pilates and yoga at different studios without having to sign up to each one. I signed up to the free trial with someone else's code and got 20 extra credits so I could try even more classes.
As a rough guide, classes in the north are around 6-8 credits with reformer classes being around 11-13. But when you're in the free trial, they often discount everything.
I really like it because even after the free trial, it works out cheaper than paying to join the fitness studio so I've kept it and now pay a subscription but if you try it and don't like it, you can just cancel it before the free trial ends - I think it's 2 weeks.
Anyone can use my link to join:

You get 20 extra credits and so do I.
You don't have to use my link, you can sign up without it!
Another freebie is the usual makeup counter stuff where you ask them to match you up and ask for a sample pot. I've done that before when I've run out of foundation and not had any money to buy a replacement. I do always try to go back and actually buy something when I do have money.
