Asking purely for selfish reasons- we're going on holiday next week so want to know how busy it's likely to be?!
We're in Wales and off next week but I was under the impression most English schools are off this week?

Well this is a revelation! I thought everyone was this week (England) ~ definitely all our local schools!

Northeast schools are off next week.

There is quite a bit of variation on school holidays. I used to organise a training programme for school staff and we had to avoid holidays for training days. It was a nightmare. Some local authorities in just our region were totally out of kilter with others. A complete pain in particular for teachers who didn't work in the same LA as their kids' schools,

Yes our holidays seem to move around more in Wales so you can get a bargain sometimes when holiday companies think it's term time!

We had a fantastically cheap break in centre parcs one Christmas a few years ago when the Welsh schools went back later in Jan and CP didn't realise!
Place was full of Welsh people !
Centre parcs got wise to it after that.
