Being a morning person

Is it worth trying to be a "morning person"?

I hate hate hate getting up in the morning, but I'd also really like to be a super productive morning person and not hate rolling out of my pit quite as much as I do.

Is it worth dragging myself through the trenches to get to that point? Will I ever get to it if I try hard enough?

I think so. It's possible to change if you want or need to. Wanting to is easier to do than having to. If you really want to be a super productive person in the morning, it's the best time to get things done; those early ph calls before offices/stores get busy, being first on the list calling for repairs, the incentive to keep going you get just x-ing things off your to-do list. Rewarding yourself with a mid-morning coffee for all you've got done, instead of just crawling out of your pit at that time, bleary eyed and slow to get going. Soon you'll hate hate hate staying up late, but ask yourself what you'd have got done if you were late to get up and late to go to bed.
You can get so much done in the a.m. hours when it's light. I would start, if you're going to, when winter is over.
