Free insulation through the Great British Insulation Scheme?

I’m just wondering because I applied for it via Octopus Energy. I had two assessments confirming that my home is eligible for the free loft insulation scheme and trickle vents in the windows.

However, over three months has passed, but I’ve yet to hear anything further…

Has anyone applied for insulation via this scheme? Or does anyone know if this is the typical wait time?

Hi, I have but I’m in Scotland and it’s via my local authority. I’ve had 2 people out to do surveys as it’s insulation, air source heating and solar panels. I’m really not sure about the heating as hear it is very expensive to run. I’ve not had confirmation I am getting the funding though

It’s funny they just phoned me to book me in, I’m just a bit worried about the air source heating if I’m honest. Would you let me know how you get on?

I had the loft insulation and trickle vents installed today, that’s all I had to do was sign a form!

I wonder if we’ll start noticing a difference straight away!
