Preface this by saying my kid doesn't like writing. But a child in what school year do you think wrote this?

Similar to my GP who is about 50 :)

In all seriousness about year 2.

Fronted adverbials so year 4 although working slightly behind.

Sorry been out all day without a phone. Ds is in year 2 - he really dislikes writing. In comparison, DDs writing was miles better at his age. His school haven't commented but he's not had a consistent teacher all year.

Is the annotation from the teacher? Because it is grammatically incorrect (comma splicing) and since commas aren’t taught in Year 2 (except in lists), I’m assuming it’s been added in by an adult. An Oxford comma has also been added which is a) unnecessary and b) not in the list of punctuation for Year 2. I’d be more concerned about the marking than the ability of the child!
