Has anyone tried Bird and Blend tea?

I love the idea of the flavours that they have but do they actually taste of anything? I’ve been disappointed by fruit teas many times.

And if you like them, which would you recommend?

TIA

I like their teas but I dislike how quick they change them. When I have a tea I like I want it all year. They closed their shop in our town so I don't use them much anymore apart from if I go to Brighton I usually go in.

Dhnloves their tea and toast tea

ApplesandAardvarks · 16/02/2025 19:22

Thanks, Enko. I can imagine how frustrating it is when you find a tea that you really like. Hopefully I won’t get too attached to one of their seasonal specials.

I’ll add the tea and toast to my list.

I find their fruit teas actually taste of fruit instead of hot water! I love banana bread chai as a cold brew too.

I love them, some of the nicest teas I've ever tried! I recommend rhubarb & custard (it sounds weird but the flavour is quite subtle and it works really well), campfires & vampires and the mint chocolate rooibos.

Are there any that you’d particularly recommend, MegTheForgetfulCat?

Sorry, edited my post when I reread the OP and saw you asked for recommendations!

I'm now going to lurk on this thread for further ideas! 👀☕️

Chocolate digestives is really, really nice.

crumbledown · 16/02/2025 19:37

I like their tea. I like their builders brew and the all nighter and the bonfire toffee is good too. My daughter loves the Worthing original and I just got gingerbread chai and that is nice and spicy. Really good flavours and high quality all round. But their subscription service does my head in. Never have stuff in stock!

Someone was unboxing a Bird & Blend advent calendar on one of the Christmas threads, and reviewing the different teas - I will see if I can find the link for you.

I like their sleepy teas - deckchair dreaming & Dozy girl. Both very tasty

lovemycbf · 16/02/2025 19:55

I don't know if they still do it but the Brighton Rock tea was lovely
They used to do a blue raspberry one that turned pink when you squeezed lemon in it
They are lovely teas and properly full of flavour

Needapadlockonmyfridge · 16/02/2025 19:58

I was given a box if Christmas themed ones , they were amazing, full of flavour.
I must track down some more!

I'llBuyThatForADollar · 16/02/2025 20:05

Agree. There was a mulled cider one I got as a sample at Christmas. Went to buy a load more and it's not available. Got one from Chai Wallah Margate instead. Just as good

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 16/02/2025 20:07

I tried them for the first time at Christmas and loved them, as did DD. Don’t have a favourite yet though. I’d suggest getting a selection box and working your way through it.

SoloSofa24 · 16/02/2025 20:10

Expensive, but I like their Dozy Girl bedtime tea. It works out much cheaper if you buy loose tea (they do nice tins) rather than tea bags.

They do a lot of seasonal ones, so if you really like a flavour (eg mulled cider), stock up when it is in season, or you have to wait until the next winter.

Grapefruitspoon · 16/02/2025 20:46

I love deckchair dreaming. It has a good flavour for a fruit tea.

the little miss happy peach tea was disappointing.

the mint is a bit sweet for me

BabyBiodegradable · 16/02/2025 21:00

I am always disappointed by fruit teas (strawberry, blackcurrant, etc) as they smell amazing but taste like crap... but B&B creme egg, jam / trifle / cake and the baileys one a few xmases ago all did indeed taste like the thing they were named after. I absolutely love them

Now that I’ve found the thread that I’d accidentally hidden, thanks to everyone for the recommendations and links. I’m very grateful for them.
