Booked this with a friend tonight not going until April of next year. If you’ve seen it, curious to know if you enjoyed it?

I've seen that! Very creepy, lots of atmosphere. Everybody in the theatre seemed to enjoy it, lots of buzz as we were getting up to go.

I'm positive you'll be enthralled and have a good time.

Blueberriesaretasty · 15/02/2025 22:31

I really enjoyed it when I went. Hope you do as well.

JasmineAllen · 15/02/2025 22:45

I'd love to see this !!!

AtomicBlondeRose · 15/02/2025 22:46

It’s a bit corny to be honest but I really enjoyed it and it’s a fun night out. I jumped out of my skin multiple times!

cherrybluerazz · 15/02/2025 22:47

I've seen it and sorry, but thought it was awful!
I'm a big fan of horror / spook though, seen so many jump - scare shows and thought 2:22 was one of the worst!

SciFiFan · 15/02/2025 22:48

I’ve seen it twice and loved it. You ‘see’ more the second time around once you know what’s happening.

treesandsun · 15/02/2025 22:52

I have seen it - but was disappointed in it. It wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. It wasn't bad - just nothing to write home about.

ISaySteadyOn · 15/02/2025 22:54

I loved it. But I am its target audience.

Hotflushesandchilblains · 15/02/2025 22:54

I liked it! One recurring thing I could have done with less of, but overall, it was a good evening out.

familyissues12345 · 15/02/2025 22:55

We got tickets last minute, last spring. Seats were great, loved the theatre as it's small. It was good, not excellent, but the tickets were quite cheap and it made for a nice afternoon out!

Who would the target audience be?

AtomicBlondeRose · 15/02/2025 22:57

It isn’t a horror thing so if you’re into big scares and horror it won’t be scary enough for you. But it’s good if you like ghost stories!

LostittoBostik · 15/02/2025 22:58

Friend saw it, enjoyed it, but told me the ending and I wasn't sure I wanted to bother...

ValentineValentineV · 15/02/2025 22:59

I loved it.

Cantthinkofonenow · 15/02/2025 23:52

Some good reviews here, I’m so excited and I really love ghost stories so it’s definitely for me. Thrilled we have front row seats too. I know Lily Allen and Cheryl have been in it at different times as well

I've seen it but was disappointed to be honest. I didn't think it was worth the money but then I ruined it by guessing the plot twist within the first 15 minutes.

It was Jamie Winstone when I saw it, she was good. Frankie Bridge was also in.. she wasn't the best.

Really? What was disappointing?

Seen it twice. Loved it twice

SandraSprocket · 16/02/2025 00:27

I liked it but there were two things I didn't like. One was too much swearing. The other was the actress who played the other woman that wasn't Jenny (can't remember the character name). She had dreadful diction and gabbled.

TimeForSomething · 16/02/2025 00:36

Saw it with Cheryl and it was fab!

PaperAeroplane · 16/02/2025 00:46

@Cantthinkofonenow

I just didn't think it was worth the money. I paid the same sort of money for this as I did Mama Mia and Oliver.. I left the theatre after those really impressed. I found Ghost Story a bit amateurish, just my opinion though, I know friends that thought it was great.

AtomicBlondeRose · 16/02/2025 10:28

Honestly - and I say this as a massive Danny Robins fan who enjoyed the play a lot - I think it’s been very much oversold. I saw it regionally with no big names and reasonable ticket prices and it is MADE for that sort of setting. Doesn’t need any standout actors, just an enthusiastic audience who will get swept along with it. But putting the celebrities in and having it at West End prices seems audacious when it doesn’t stand up against other West End productions. I don’t even think that was ever the intention!

Fans of things like the Uncanny podcast and maybe the Fortean Times. When I saw it, there weren't any big names in and it didn't pretend to be there for anything other than entertaining you. That's what I liked.

CleanShirt · 16/02/2025 13:08

I didn't find it scary in the slightest and was quite bored.
