Nice not too expensive restaurants in London

I'm meeting a group of friends (five of us) for an early dinner in London next week and looking for a nice, relaxed restaurant which will not charge the earth. But has decent food and drink. Could be a pub or a restaurant or a wine bar. Just somewhere we can sit for a few hours and eat and drink and catch up, that's got a relaxed and happy vibe.

The areas that we're looking include London Bridge, Victoria, Blackfriars, Covent Garden.

If anyone knows anywhere good, I would love to know. Price-wise, we're thinking main courses for £20-25 max.

Thank you!

We’ve had a great pre-theatre meal at Penelope’s in Covent Garden; very reasonable for Central, and the full menu looks good too. Baklava cheesecake highly recommended!

The Real Greek is nice. I went to the one in St Martin’s Lane recently.

The Delauney on Aldwych (close to Covent Garden) is nice. You can eat there in that bracket but there are mains above that too. Prices are online here - it maybe pushing your bracket but it's not astronomic and it normally has quite a buzzy vibe. Good for people watching.
