Having a rest! Visit to the Bham Myseum and Art gallery is on the list atm. Very boring car service too. Lunch out for husband's birthday at the end of half term.

Sweetappley · 12/02/2025 23:31

Enjoy

Working for a couple of days.
Taking dc to the cinema and deciding on another couple of things like museum or country park. Depending on weather.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 13/02/2025 10:11

Skiing! So excited, we've never been 😁 Pretty sure I'm going to be a natural and become a flawless skier on day one - that's how it works right?

Sweetappley · 13/02/2025 12:08

skiing Sounds fun

Going on a UK break with my DC, my parents, and sister and her children. Husband joining half way through the week. Can't wait, desperate for a break now!

Beamish museum & the fire & ice festival.

Other than that teach ds to ride his bike without stabilisers.

Moier · 13/02/2025 15:21

We do nothing really.
We have to avoid busy places .
We can't go swimming or to museums / places of interest..
We do all these things in term time.. so we are opposite to schools.

Shubbypubby · 13/02/2025 20:37

Working first part of the week which is easier than term time as no school run & traffic on my commute is a lot quieter. Taking primary aged DD on a couple of days out later in the week.

Foreverexhausted1 · 13/02/2025 20:41

Couple of playdates, DS has a forest school day one day, see grandparents. Fairly standard stuff for us.

MissyB1 · 13/02/2025 20:43

Ds is in GCSE year and has his second set of mocks in March. So we can't do much, he will be on a revision schedule, but I will take him out for breakfast /lunch on a couple of days

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 13/02/2025 20:44

Going with dh and ds to stay for a few days in the lovely city where dd is at uni. Really looking forward to it!

Devon -hoping for lots of pubs with roaring fires and big lunches!!

reluctantbrit · 13/02/2025 21:09

DH and I will be working.

DD is in Y13, in the middle of mocks and her history course work finalising. She will revise and sleep.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 13/02/2025 21:11

Working. So is DH. DD 11 is going to stay with her Aunt in London.

HumphreysCorner · 13/02/2025 21:15

Sleeping 😂

UpUpUpU · 13/02/2025 21:25

Hopefully enjoying some lie ins and not having to do the school run!

Swimming, some walking, probably lots of eating and some relaxing is the plan.

ZenNudist · 13/02/2025 21:30

Weekend maximum chilling. Im so knackered. Been ill. Kids will game. We go out with my family for a birthday meal.

Monday it's just me and my 11yo. Assuming 14yo will be seeing mates. Then we travel to see family. Kids will have fun with grandparents and me and DH work. Friday DH is off with them. Again ds1 will be out with mates.

Weekend I'm looking at a walk on my own with a friend, a haircut and a sushi meal with friends.

Then back to normal! I don't do much in February as I save my holidays for the good weather..

notanothernamechangemother · 13/02/2025 21:31

Researched many outings on Facebook/Insta for my 6 year old dd, most of which we probably won't make it to 😏

She wants to go to London and visit the museums. We will go, but I'm dreading it being so busy 😞

Other than that parks, playgrounds, woods. Hope it stays dry!

I can't wait not to be rushing on the school run and taking our time in the morning.

PurpleChrayn · 13/02/2025 22:32

DD has just come down with a bug so potentially not much!

If she's better, we'll be visiting an elderly friend on Monday, my parents Tuesday, MIL on Wednesday, a baby and toddler group on Thursday, and a walk in the park Friday morning (Shabbat preparation Friday afternoon).

AgualusasLover · 13/02/2025 22:45

Teens here, so other than Captain America I’ve really taken the week off because work has been crazy busy. Planning a couple of exhibitions, couple of matinees, coffees, nice breakfast at my fave cafe. Children and husband invited to everything, but very likely will do their own thing. Lots of ready, long baths, sleeping in. Bliss.

DH likes to give his precious car a run, so wondering if I can convince him to run it to Scotland for DS19’s birthday, but doubt it.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 13/02/2025 22:49

We’ve still got another full week of term yet but when we do break up we’re off skiing in Italy - it’s a bit cheaper than usual as we’re a week behind the main uk half term and come home just before Carnivale.

Bournetilly · 13/02/2025 22:50

Working a few days. Eldest will be with grandparents/ aunties and youngest is still in nursery.

I do have a few days off so we’re going to the soft play and have a craft class booked. I am also thinking we will go to clip n climb and a trampoline park. We will probably visit a couple of parks as long as it’s not raining and bake some cakes at home. Eldest still has their activities on at the weekends.

lovebeingyourmama · 13/02/2025 23:12

Monday - Gymnastics
Tuesday and Wednesday - Nursery for our little one and on Tuesday we’re going to do something for Valentine’s Day as my partner is working tomorrow
Thursday - SEN stay and play
Friday - Visiting partners family/little ones grandparents and then gymnastics
Saturday - Dance/fun swim session
Sunday - Football in the morning then possibly the park if it’s not raining/freezing 🤔

I’ve tried to keep it mostly the same as term time but it is difficult as most of his toddler/pre-school classes stop or change days/times in the school holidays 😬
