Air Fryer Beeps

Hi lovely people.

You've been so helpful before, so I'm hoping you can assist me again.

I have a chronic illness, and the beeping sounds from my air fryer have become unbearable.

Does anyone know of an air fryer that doesn’t beep or has an option to turn the sounds off?

I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I wonder if the speaker could be removed. Do you have a shop nearby that fixes things like toasters and hoovers? I’d call them and ask.

Newbie5652 · 13/02/2025 08:34

Our Ninja beeps for any old reason too and it bothers me too. But the noise of it running also bothers me so now I just hardly use it and use the normal oven which is quieter.

No suggestions for you, just solidarity. Dh thinks I'm crazy for being so bothered by the sounds it makes so im glad to know I'm not alone.

Yes the Ninjas are noisy! Used to it now but it upset me at first as I hate excess noise.

I also have a Samsung singing washing machine!

Gosh, when I need a new washing machine, I’m going to have to post again, aren’t I?

I hope your singing washing machine is pleasant

I have an instant vortex plus air fryer. Had it in the argos sale. It has the option of muting the beeps, which I have done. Obviously the down side is you don't always notice it has turned off! But it's fab not to have the beeps.

Puppupandaway · 13/02/2025 08:45

On my air fryer (instant vortex plus) I have to hold down the time and temp buttons for five seconds to turn off the beeps. Maybe it works like this on other models??

@HopecoveGirl is it beeping even when not in use? If so, no wonder you’re sick of it. Our model is a Tefal, this one:

Thank you. Would you recommend it and are the beeps not too bad?

I feel your pain. Our new hob beeps when off if it gets wet, like a disgruntled toddler.

@HopecoveGirl ours doesn’t beep at all when it’s not in use. It beeps when pushing buttons, when halfway through cooking, and when it’s done. That’s it. It is not a needy air fryer 😂

Thank you for all your replies. Sorry to be late replying, too busy being poorly 🙁

I would be interested knowing the make and model of the one that just dings.

The ding! Makes excellent toast too.

When you need a new washer, you can completely disable the beeps on the bosch/Siemens ones.

HopecoveGirl · 13/02/2025 18:07

Thank you for all your replies. You have been really helpful. So many welcome suggestions, which I wasn't expecting.

I've decided to go for the Vortex one. If the bleeps can be turned off, then that is just perfect.

Wishing you all the very very best of everything

Yay!! I love my vortex. I did check before I posted that the newer version on argos does the muting too. If you click on the q&a section on argos, someone asks for the manual. Follow the link and a few pages in it tells you how to mute the beeps. So it definitely still has that feature. Enjoy!!
