Awake, pregnant and coughing

Hi all

Just posting for a bit of support. I’ve had an awful cold for the last week (following a nasty bout of norovirus) and haven’t had much sleep. I’m going to pick up some antibiotics later this morning for suspected chest infection but for now I’m wide awake (again) and coughing so much.
Im in the third trimester and baby is still kicking around nicely but just worried about the strain it’s been under with me being so under the weather the last few weeks. Especially with the coughing at the moment 😔
Not sure what I’m posting for but feeling a bit worried and down.

This could be me right now, commiserations! I’m 34 weeks and have had the flu, confirmed by swab, despite getting the flu vaccine 😅 The cough is doing me in. I even wet myself a little if I have a particularly bad coughing fit! I feel the same about baby but rest assured they are taking everything they need from us and well cushioned in there. Do you have a midwife appt or a late scan booked in (we get a 36 week scan here) you can use for some reassurance? I’ve considered an extra private scan just for some peace of mind even though deep down I know the baby is ok, it’s just me suffering 😂

Hey op sending love, I'm 37 weeks and been ill a few times this pregnancy but all is good with little one so try not to worry (I have fortnightly scans and he's looking all fine☺️)

Thank you both for replying. I’ve got a midwife appt on Thurs so I’ll hopefully get a bit of reassurance then and I might see about another scan too just to put my mind at rest. Hope you feel better too gg9320 it’s so rough being ill and pregnant. And hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly annony55 x
