Had a bad feeling about today when i woke up - lo and behold🙄😭

Replaced the hallway and my bedroom carpets today. Didn't do dd's room as her carpet was in good shape, plus I needed somewhere to put the stuff from my room

Carpets go down okay (slight delay which meant I spent the day waiting for them to be finished, but all ok)

I'm moving stuff back to my room and

A container of black paint spills all over dd's carpet 🙃

I once decorated dd's room. Decided the carpet was OK. Ds thought otherwise and threw a pot of gloss paint all over it. Toddler so guess my own fault.. Shame he never got into cricket with that throw...

dd did that once on my stairs! Just decided to tip a pink paint over them 😩

I let ds decorate the downstairs toilet while I decorated his room when he was 5yo.
Tbf he didn't make a bad job of it and it kept him well occupied while I did his room.

It was unfortunate that he left the lid of the paint pot on the floor, stepped on it, and walked upstairs to tell me without taking his shoes off. It looked like a white horse had walked through the house.

Although the white footprints up the outside of the house are my fault. Dh was painting with matt paint that washed off easily. So while he was washing his hands I dipped an old pair of shoes in the paint and did footsteps up the outside of the house. Unfortunate this was the gloss paint he'd got ready for the next stage of painting, rather than the matt.
After 10 years they have faded enough that you wouldn't notice unless you know.

Oh i love the idea of the footprints outside of the house though! Sounds like a cool way to make it your own
