Help, how to stick burst stitches together with steri strips?

Had punch biopsy on face for suspected melanoma last week, stitches out year and wound burst back open today.

111 said go to A&E, no chance given state of the wait there do instead said GP would ring back but they haven’t. Have also left message on the hospital dept wound care line but suspect they won’t call back till tomorrow.

It’s 2cm long and about 1 cm wide at widest part and can see quite deep. Have a packet of steri strips, any tips on sticking it back together? Should I clean it too as it was wide open for about 1.5 hours ?

I have EDS and knew this would happen, warned them it would happen as previous 5 have and yet here we are

So def steri strip for now till u can get seen.
It's hard to describe how to do but basically stick steri stip right up to edge on one side then close up open area then put steri strip over so edges are joined up.

Fellow person with melanoma here, are you being seen in the nurse dressing clinic for wound care? In the very short term (tonight), I wouldn’t worry too much about trying to close it up at the risk of introducing infection. But I would want to be seen by the dressing clinic tomorrow. When were you meant to have stitches removed? Usually it’s about a week later. If they can’t get you in tomorrow, watch some YouTube videos and do it yourself. I would cover it with a dressing now and not try to clean it because of infection risk.

Thanks, I am absolutely not going to A&E, have sent the GP a photo and still nothing so will just clean and try and stick it back together.

I'm discharged unless the biopsy is malignant, and the only post procedure contact info is an answerphone.

It's further compounded by the fact I'm at a conference today and tomorrow, I left at lunchtime to try and get it fixed today and would be expected to be there as planned tomorrow.

I have had 8 ops for suspected cancer in the past year and I've reached my limit with hospitals etc unless life or death. And have confounded max fax with my ability to burst things, even two rows of stitches and glue. EDS is a real pain

Sorry but wondering if anyone can help. Nurse took one look and said was far too deep for them to stick it back together, so she's asked Derm to see me urgently. Over also left two messages and have emailed PALS.

Sorry if this is grim but it looks like this today and is sore/itchy. I am angry that In going to have a massive scar on my face but also concerned that it's just so exposed. Plasters fall off after about 30 mins as it's next to my mouth. What else can I do? It's about 2cm long and 1 deep (no internal stitch)
