Can we drink the water in Calpe?

As a child I was always told that you couldn’t drink the water in Spain. But that was nearly 40 years ago. And then later told it is safe to drink but over mineralised so might give a dodgy stomach for a few days whilst you get used to it. Googling now mainly says it is fine and just may taste a bit different but I figured the hive mind would know!

Well I don’t know about Calpe, but I do know that the water in Majorca…..

In theory yes but their water is different. We always drink bottled water in Spain.

Perfectly safe - please don't drink bottled water - you're paying for a single use plastic bottle. Take a metal bottle with you. If you can't act responsibly as a tourist don't go.

Yes of course. I have done and I'm still here, no ill effects.
