Best mouth ulcer treatment

I have a really painful ulcer on my gums, does anyone know a treatment that actually works? Have tried ambosol but it isn’t working😩. I refuse to put salt on it too, far too much of a wimp for that

Get some Ly-sine online. It not only clears them up but prevents them too , I take one every other day. They are quite big to take but well worth it. I'm so grateful to the doctor who recommended them to me.

It maybe an old wives tale but I swear it has always helped my mouth ulcers. A warm water gargle with bicarbonate of sofa

Corsodyl mouthwash twice a day shortens them considerably. Poundstretcher do a cheaper version for £1 a bottle that contains the same ingredients.

Make sure your toothpaste doesn't contain sodium Laureth sulfate too as that can make them more frequent. It's really astringent and irritates any small tears in the mouth making them more likely to ulcerate. Sensodyne do a number of toothpastes without it but you do need to check the ingredients.

for on the spot relief iglu is the one, but I only use it for really big and really painful ones as it doesn't feel very nice but it does relieve the pain.

Salt. Either gargle salt water and just put salt directly on it. Hurts like a bitch but works

Ora Jel

Difflam Mouth rinse

Antiseptic mouth wash (chlorohex)

another vote for salt - gargle with salt water and put it directly on the ulcer.

Two paracetamol and two ibuprofen and some iglu gel. If you can get the application. Of the iglu right it takes the pain away a good while

Take loads of B12

Rub a peice of fresh pineapple on it. Sounds mad, but there is a chemical in it that helps heal it.

Started taking L-lysein yesterday , will update if it works.

salt hasn’t really worked but I apply anyway and if I do so after corsodyl I find it doesn’t hurt as much.

that iglu stuff I love so much! Stops it being so tender every time I move my mouth.

it’s in my gum so really awkward and painful place in all honesty.

pineapple I’ve tried a few times but did not work and I find eating it gives me horrific acid reflux so gave up on that x
