Positive experiences of changing jobs?

I’m in a job I hate. I’m constantly stressed out, it’s impacting on my family and I just want out. The trouble is, this job has destroyed my confidence to the extent that I just can’t imagine myself in a new role. Every job advert I see, I either end up thinking that I’m not good enough for the job or I start to assume it will be just as stressful as my current role.
If you’ve gone from a terrible workplace to a lovely one, please share your experience and help me get some optimism back!

I job hop all the time, i've quadrupled my earnings. If i dont like something i'm gone. If the next place isnt for you, find another. Dont you have colleagyes you know for sure are paid more than you but are utterly incompetent? I had a manager who, as a grown ass man, couldnt use Word 🤯 ....just channel them!

Thanks @Frozenbees - do you ever get asked in interview why you didn’t work somewhere for long? What do you say?

I've only started being asked that recently with higher stakes roles, i think at lower levels churn is normal, and if you've clocked up a lot of time at your first company, it wouldnt be shocking for you to move on from company 2 if you just didnt like the culture (say the employees were lazy and you just cant get onboard with that 🤣)

For higher stakes roles, I usually have a good reason that flies, it might not be the main reason, but it could be a contributing factor that i put front and centre, for example "the role was good, but i was missing contact with customers, your company will allow me to get back to doing what i love" or the like
