What does a 43 year old wear to a beach club?

It's my very, very good work friend's hen in August. We will be going to the Marbella Ocean beach club thingy. I'm athletic and strong, not worried about my body but I am concerned about looking like mutton. What on earth does one wear to such places? I go to eurocamp, skiing and west wales. I'm not a beach club gal. Help!

If you’re athletic and strong you’ll fit in perfectly. I’d personally go with a trendy bikini and a wrap. Add some heels and sparkle and your there jobs done. Your only 43 you’ll look fantastic

I went to one on my cousin's hen party a couple of years ago (I was 42 at the time, she and her friends all late 20's). I just wore a nice swimsuit with a simple black sundress over, but then did my make up and hair and wore some statement costume jewellery. I felt like I fitted in okay. Most of our group wore similar little sun dresses, or wraps. A couple had some lovely floaty chiffon type trousers over swimsuits which looked great. But honestly I think the things that really stood out over a normal beach/pool day was the hair and make up.

Well I'm over 50 and not quite 'athletic and strong' and wear a bikini with a beach dress over it when I go to the beach bar for a drink or lunch, with Havianas on my feet. I've no idea what other people wear but it seems appropriate to me. It wouldn't occur to me to dress up 'Marbella' with fake eyebrows, hair and teeth wherever I went.
