In Case of Emergency - when you have no one...

Until recently my ICE contact was my line manager because I figured 'if something happens to me at least work would know I wasn't going to be in'. But now I've changed job, I'm not yet close to anyone at my new employers.

I'm over 10 years NC with what remains of my family. I don't have any friends who I'd consider close enough and that I would want to put that role onto (I'm not confusing this with NOK and making medical decisions, just that the 2 people who I would trust are also both carers and I wouldn't want to risk giving them even more things to do should something happen).

So who do I put? Recommendations welcome.

FYI, I do have an advanced directive for medical decisions and a will. It's purely for who to call...

Your GP
A nighbour that you trust
( give them your family's phone number so they can contact them should the worst happen )
