Where can I get super thick soft towels from?

I've tried a few places that say they have thick luxury towels but keep being disappointed. I know the white company have nice ones but I'm after a pale blue or green shade and they don't do those colours.

Please help!

Dunelm, if you have one near you. (Or could order online, I suppose). I've also bought some lovely towels from Asda in the past.

We've got some from dunelm recently and they are lovely!

peonyandblush · 07/02/2025 11:56

I've tried dunelm but maybe I tried the wrong ones, none of them felt very thick though

Another vote for Dunelm

I bought Christy towels from Dunelm, disappointed tbh. I want thick ones too.

White company

John Lewis are good. and great selection of colours.

SoloSofa24 · 07/02/2025 12:21

HomeSense or TKMaxx often have good towels.

PickAChew · 07/02/2025 12:23

I have some of these for myself.

We bought ours 6-7 years ago from John Lewis, Dark purple.

No fading, no changes in the fabric, still nice and thick.

MomBruh · 07/02/2025 12:31

Sheridan Egyptian towels have washed well & still thick.

FOJN · 07/02/2025 12:55

I bought mine years ago at Costco and they are still thick and fluffy. It's pot luck with colour options though.

If I'm honest I've reached the conclusion that thick fluffy towels look and feel luxurious but practically they do not dry as easily as thinner towels and they take far longer to air dry after use or washing.

LurcherMumma · 07/02/2025 13:11

I've bought some nice ones from John Lewis before.
I've bought some nicer ones from home sense but that's after a couple of trips feeling all of the towels they had.

unsync · 07/02/2025 13:21

Are you judging them before washing them? I've always found that washing and tumbling them a few times fluffs them up. I usually have Christy.

BackToRealitySigh · 07/02/2025 13:24

Have you tried Primark? I got some lovely pale green ones there and they have washed and worn well.
It was a few years ago though so they might have changed

AmusedGoose · 07/02/2025 13:28

Christy. Online shop is best. They come in different weights so you could have thickest and heaviest. Expensive but I've still got some from 20 years ago.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 07/02/2025 15:21

Christy , white company, once got a bundle from Tesco, which weren't cheap but were good.

ShodAndShadySenators · 07/02/2025 15:24

Marks & Spencer Luxurious Egyptian. I bought a couple of new towels from the range and went back the next day to get replacements for all my old ones. They are lovely and soft but also thick and squishy, and have remained so after repeated use and laundering.

I do have a couple of other towels that I liked the pattern of, but they're not in the same league for softness and thickness.

HermioneWeasley · 07/02/2025 15:38

Not sure what colours they do now but we got really high GSM ones from soak and sleep

Pancakeflipper · 07/02/2025 15:52

Soak and Sleep (wash well, dry very well and cosy). but you'll probably have to comprise on colours.

if its color you need - Next have a good colour range as do Dunelm and Sainsburys.

Previously had decent ones from Laura Ashley ( do they do them online?)

SmurfetteBlue · 07/02/2025 16:38

Dunelm Egyptian cotton ones are the best ones I've had

LyricalGangsta · 07/02/2025 16:52

White Company

Normallynumb · 07/02/2025 17:51

Utopia from Amazon are great quality

Normallynumb · 07/02/2025 17:53

Mine are from Asda and Sainsbury's( The habitat range) both decent

Lemonade2011 · 07/02/2025 17:55

I’ve got towels from M&S and they are rubbish and were not cheap, all frayed and just not nice. My next towels wash well, thick and soft I do like them, I have some lovely thick soft white company flannels so their towels must be lovely too, I’ve no room for anymore just now but likely my next choice
