Early pregnancy fatigue and sickness

Hi all - any suggestions for early pregnancy fatigue and sickness and managing this while working? I’m very early on and it’s my second pregnancy - but I’m already feeling fatigued (no sickness yet but I had it quite bad with dc1!) and worried about managing the first 12 weeks if if gets worse with work. It was Covid before so slightly easier to stay at home etc.

Congratulations on your pregnancy OP.

I feel your pain! At that stage with DC2 pregnancy I had to tell my boss and ask to WFH for a few weeks. Luckily she said yes and luckily I have a job where wfh is doable. I couldn’t manage to sit at my desk as I felt so dreadful, but I was actually able to work quite well in a semi reclined position in bed! But if you need to take sick leave then so be it. If there was anything else causing you to feel this bad then presumably you would.

Then at the weekends I looked after DC1 for an hour or so in the mornings then DH took over for several hours while I went back to bed. There were only maybe 3 weekends where that was necessary then I started feeling a bit better.

Good luck
