Hello

I'm after some hotel recommendations please. My Husband and I love a night or 2 away somewhere lovely a few times a year. Happy to pay upto £250 per night for somewhere special. An amazing restaurant on site or within walking distance is a must.

TIA

We've stayed at Rockliffe Hall before which is about an hour away from Newcastle. I'm not sure how much it is though as we stayed a few years ago now.

Rudding park hotel near Harrogate! Just scrapes in under 90 mins www.ruddingpark.co.uk

It's got a lovely spa with rooftop gardens, really nice pool bar, and you can stay in a lodge or hotel room.

There's horto which is a dressier restaurant or the clocktower brasserie which is a bistro pub type place with log fire and both restaurants are on site!

High Force Hotel

Thank you all. We love Rudding Park & Seaham Hall and went to High Force Hotel last year. Good few I've not heard of too.

A lot of these are South of newcastle, so want to mention Schloss Roxburgh which is in the Scottish borders. Stunning location and restaurant, and they have an amazing spa, with a heated outdoor pool

Crab Manor hotel and Crab & Lobster near Thirsk

We used to go to Doxford Hall near Alnwick. Food was amazing but it’s been a few years since we last went (thanks kids) so not sure if it's still the same.
We also go to Derwent Manor a lot but that's not as 'fancy'.
All others we've been to have already been mentioned I think.
