Teenage heartbreak and school

14yo DS broke up with his girlfriend last night (after almost 2 years) he was heart broken and cried a lot, they've video called last night and cleared the air,

In the same school

He's crying he doesn't want to go to school.

Problem I have his dad has given him so so much time off when he's with him I've already had the welfare officer on the phone. (There was bullying incidents back at the beginning of the school year) his attendance is 80%

I've never given him one day off and I feel like I should today. But I can't possibly because the council officer will be on the phone, fines etc

Poor boy. Try and get him in, if you don’t it might make it harder for him the next day. Better he goes in and then has to go home for feeling ‘ill ’ than not going in at all.
Do you have a pastoral contact at the school that you could give the heads up to? Good luck.

He's dressed and ready to go. But he's sitting on the sofa sobbing 😭

How did he get on? Did he go in? Hope his day went ok.

I kept him home. I despise that ex DH put me in that position tbh!

He seems a bit brighter this evening but hasn't really eaten much, poor thing spent three month being bullied in school from sept last year he's been through so much! We've dealt with that and it's all okay now.

He's still friends with her.

I said to my DH the other day if they ever break up he will be heart broken 🥲 it's breaking my heart seeing him so upset
