I bought a soup maker last year, used it a few times and shoved it in the cupboard where it's lived since. It has a nasty, mechanical sort of smell I cannot get rid of. It almost smells like walking into a mechanics workshop. Every soup turns out tasting of it.
I've put it through the wash cycle many times using dishwashing liquid, vinegar and bicarb but none have worked.
Anyone got a trick for me? It was an online purchase that I had no luck getting a refund for.
TIA 😃
