50 shades of “White”

We need to redecorate.
Trying to choose the right shade of white is proving the most difficult part!

If you have a white interior, what white do you have?
There are two very large southeast facing windows in the room.

We had Dulux White Mist in a SSE facing room. White, but grey undertone (it doesn’t look grey in a bright room, but it is a cool white.)

Matte brilliant white

I think the only way to choose is to get testers. If you don’t want multiple squares of paint on your wall paint pieces of paper and stick them up. It will depend on the light in your specific room and you’ll find they probably look different on different walls.

We ended up with Dulux jasmine white, in a north facing room, despite being sure we didn’t want yellow tones. Everything else looked either cold or dingy.

Oh forgot to say we have Dulux 'Rock Salt' upstairs in one of the DC's room but it feels quite a cold white.

We’ve got Timeless nearly everywhere and I just change the colour emphasis with curtains etc

Recently repainted Edward Bulmer Milk White and I love it.

Dulux White Cotton. Very slight grey undertone, looks white on walls. When the skirting is painted white you can see a difference.

Matte brilliant white

Same.

We have Dulux white cotton - very nice soft white, not yellow at all, Dulux fine cream in children's room - classic cream but not orangey like magnolia and what must be my favourite, Nutmeg white, also Dulux, which is a very light soft warm taupey colour. Regret not painting the hallway in nutmeg white as well!

Dulux White Mist, and I know two other people who have the same colour in their living rooms

We did buy a few testers though and painted parts of the wall

I’ve done a few rooms in strong white (F&B) for a few different people, looks pretty good imo.
