Fed up of not feeling WELL!

I have lost 10st since 2021 after a gastric sleeve and then recently lost another few st.

I feel shittier now than I did when I was obese! Between anaemia and gallstones I never feel just well in myself.

I'm fucking sick of it. I just want to have energy to look after my home and do the things that need doing. I'm out of breath walking round the supermarket ffs.

Been prescribed iron tablets again even though I say time and time again that since my sleeve I really struggle to tolerate them, and the list for gallbladder surgery is nearly a year.

Yay.

Similar boat, no weight loss surgery but I haven't been well in over ten years! I've lost three adult teeth, been on /off iron tablets, gallbladder removed, two other surgeries last year, developed rosacea this year and permanently tired.
It's rubbish

Forgot, arthritis, hyper mobility and migraines.

@JollyViper sounds like perimenopause

@Apileofballyhoo if it is it's not been picked up on any blood tests.
(Many many blood tests)
And I was about 30 last time I remember feeling 'normal'

fedup1212 · 01/02/2025 01:54

Sorry you feel rubbish too @JollyViper

I am finding it hard at the moment, my children have SEN and I have next to no energy to deal with the added pressure that brings.

If we were in a better financial position I'd book an iron infusion and gallbladder removal tomorrow!

Sorry you and others are feeling low. Have you tried Ferroglobin slow release tablets? They do help me and I’m rubbish at tolerating iron.

I am peri, permanently knackered, knee pain, no gallbladder thank goodness, rosacea (although Head and Shoulders seems to be helping), bizarre periods, uterus and ovary pain which is being investigated. I am a SEND parent, low income, stressed out, and feel overwhelmed most of the time.

I know there are many people far worse off than I am, and we are, but I get that fed up feeling.

Apileofballyhoo · 02/02/2025 12:40

@JollyViper might not show in blood tests, I feel the same re early 30s was when I had energy and so on. Started hrt at 45 and realised I hadn't felt that well for years.

JollyViper · 02/02/2025 13:49

@Apileofballyhoo I'll ask when I'm next at Drs appointment I've got two medical & three dentist apps this month.
It's never once been suggested it could be peri and I'm 43 this year.

I'm in pain in multiple places daily. Last year was basically a write off, due to surgeries.

fedup1212 · 02/02/2025 14:31

@RocketNan I think I've tried those ones, even they make me feel nauseous albeit not as much as the ferrous fumerate.

Had a gallbladder attack night before last that lasted so long. Sooner it's out the better!

Try Actimel drinks. They perked me up but after a couple of months got constipation so had to stop.

They help the gut.
