I’m taking my 15 year old son on a day out in London to celebrate his birthday. Can you give me any recommendations re: what he might like to do? He’s into gaming, football, likes arcades etc. Hoping to uncover some hidden gems by asking here! Thanks

He might like Outernet by Tottenham Court Rd Station. And maybe funland games arcade in the Brunswick centre, which is Bloomsbury so close to there.

And if you're going to Tottenham Court Road, Forbidden Planet in Shaftesbury Avenue: London Megastore @ ForbiddenPlanet.com - UK and Worldwide Cult Entertainment Megastore

Good shout. Also, would he like an escape room? There are plenty around that area.

My son loved the forbidden planet store. He also enjoys a trip to the Lego store.
Power Up at science museum (pay for entry to this)
Son also enjoyed Puttshack.

Good ideas so far thanks. I had Funland on my list of potentials!

My DS enjoyed the tours of Wembley stadium and the Emirates at that age. Both were interesting and enjoyable for me too!

Was going to suggest football stadium tour as well.

If he’s not been to London before, you should see some of the sites - Tralfager square, Eros, Big Ben etc.

All ages seem to enjoy the m and m store.

I thought of suggesting a tour of a football stadium, but op said they're only going for a day trip, and that wouldn't leave much time for anything else, especially as the football clubs are all away from Central London.

OP, are you travelling in by train, and what station do you arrive at in London?

An odd one that might appeal is a tour of secret places on the underground. Book through the Transport Museum.

HMS Belfast is also an interesting visit. And you can’t go far wrong with a river boat trip, just use the regular boats, not a tour boat.

Also not sure if there is an age restriction but climbing over the roof of the O2 sounds like fun to me.

Brilliant, thanks everyone!
