Need Treatment advice for ADHD 5years boy

Hi ,
My son has been put under SEN in school and the school has referred for EHCP program.This is all new to me and I am completely lost with what is happening around.
My DS is kind of hyperactive and keeps on talking (selftalk) which we thought it would be normal when he grow older,but now I face so many complains from school on his sitting tolerance and learning difficulties.
I need advice on any private ADHD treatment center in Manchester to diagnose and support him in all feasible way.

First of all, has he had any kind of assessments at school yet, have they referred him to SaLT, lang and comm or had an EP see him? If school are applying for an ECHP they would normally have him assessed by an EP.

Who says ADHD or more spefically they will say traits of ADHD?

I’m asking this because there is wide spectrum of SEND and lots of things like ADHD, ASD and many others overlap. I totally missed traits of ADHD in my own child and her teachers didn’t see anything with they thought was SEND. Specialist teachers who have observed in her school think ASD and ADHD.

Generally if you want to go down the private route find a centre which follows the NICE guidelines, uses a multidisplinary team and sees your child in person. Most organisation won’t assess for ADHD before 6 years old. I would be wary of one which did.

I’m assuming you’ve had a meeting with the SENCO. I would be asking them for a specific list of concerns and what they have or willing be putting into place for him. Things like movement breaks, wobble cushion, fidgets toys.

To be honest ,There are so many meeting and information forms that I fill which is handed over to me after the meetings,EP has seen him and SENCO recommends me to look into SSC schools .This is all happening so fast for me to process.

What did the EP say? Have you seen the report?
