Messed up an interview- can I salvage this?

I had an interview yesterday. Thought I’d done well, but then realised I’d missed out talking about my experience in a key area of the role.

Would I be silly to follow up to the interviewer to say I’d like to give them further evidence? Or will I look even worse?

Do you know if there will be seconds stage interviews? You could always email and say you realised afterwards that you'd missed out something important and would welcome the opportunity to elaborate if you were chosen for a second interview.

I might do that. There’s a final stage. Thanks!
