How on earth do I claim compensation from Evri?

The picked up a parcel from me on 21st Dec and promptly lost it.

I emailed them a few times and they replied to ask me to contact the receiver (a clothing store). I had to repeatedly explain that as I paid for the postage, the contract was with me, not the store. But they just didn’t seem to understand.

In my last email sent about ten days ago, I once again explained that their contract was with me, asked how to claim compensation, and asked how to make a complaint. They simply haven’t answered.

What can I do next?

What do they want from the store? Evidence its not Been received?

It’s a return to store and nine times out of ten, clothes stores offer free returns, so the contract is between Evri and them. In my case I was getting a scripted response with no one actually looking and reading to see that I paid for the postage, I arranged the pick up, so their contract is with me.

Evri delivery service really are hopeless I've had endless issues with them I wish companies would wake up to there incompetence and stop using them. I fail to understand after receiving notification that they have my parcel, why Evri take anything from 3 days to a week to deliver the item. Just recently It took me nearly 3 weeks to receive my online order because the Evri driver kept refusing to deliver it. I actually saw him from my living room window drive up outside my house sit there in his van for a short period actually looked at my address as if he was ready to get out and deliver, but then drove off. less than a minute later I received a notification on my phone saying unable to deliver no one at home. actually tried to catch him while he was outside but he drove off before I could get there. despite reporting this to Evri it still happened again 3 times. Evri company seem to have no idea how their drivers are taking the piss. Evri are absolutely unbelievable.

I agree, Evri are terrible. Every order either late or completely disappeared.

I’ve emailed them about five times now asking how to claim compensation for the parcel, which is still missing. They reply about one week later and never actually answer the question! It’s infuriating.
