Can get ring off

I've worn this ring for 20 years. Unfortunately it's starting to feel increasingly uncomfortable and I have put on a lot of weight. I think I'm going to have to have it cut off. Is it going to be difficult to do because of the stone placement?

Any attempts to remove it other ways are painful and cause even more swelling, the fat has nowhere to go. It's sad but it's my own fault.

I think my finger had grown around it

So glad it's off! Are they going to be able to repair the ring?

It can be resized/repaired, they said to leave it a few weeks to let my finger adjust. Not sure if I'm going to actually do it though
