I just changed my rear indicator light bulb. In the dark, with DD holding my phone as a torch.

The facility to just find a video someone has made of how to do stuff like this still amazes me.

You're right OP, it's a great tool that anyone with a computer or smartphone can access.
My DD has often used a well done YouTube instructional video to figure out technical issues, and other repairs, as has all of our family.
There's nothing more satisfying than getting a job done by yourself and feeling so good about it!
Well done you, and thank goodness for YouTube instructional videos!

Thank you kindly <curtsies>

Any other minor triumphs out there?

Totally agree! It's pretty incredible, only a few decades ago you'd have to get a book from the library or look through an encyclopaedia or instruction manual, it's awesome.

Love YouTube channels like 'Dad, how do I?'... He didn't have a dad to show him how to do things so now he makes videos of loads of basic bits that we should all be able to do for other people ❤️

Oh, and my own triumphs from YouTube videos include fixing my dryer, fixing my washing machine, fixing my water timer, changing car bulbs... I'm sure there's more I've forgotten!

My DM aged 80 looks at You Tube videos on how to do things around the house. She managed to reset her TV box when it went all wibbley on her by using “The Internet Tube” She said that she can remember the name because it helps her find her way around things like the London tube helps you get around London 🤣
