Where to go for dinner in London (Barbican)

My DH's birthday is coming up, and I'm trying to arrange a v rare night out for us. I've booked a concert I think he'll like at the Barbican, and am now trying to work out where to go for an early-ish dinner beforehand. Any suggestions? Anything goes!

We recently went to Cote just down the road. There is a restaurant inside the Barbican.

There's a pub called the Jugged Hare on the corner of Chiswell Street & Silk Street. The food is quite good there.

Café du marché is fab and a ten minute walk.

Ah, thanks all. You know when googling is just a bit overwhelming! And it's so rare we get a whole night out I just want it to 'work'. I'll have a little look. x

I've eaten at Barbican Brasserie by Searcy's and it was good - a nice environment and pleasant, if standard, British fare.

For something a bit different (and, in my opinion, absolutely delicious!) check out Australian all-day spot Barbie Green - we often do work events here and I love it!

Barbican brasserie is closing on Feb 10.

Cote is fine, a chain but we eat there a lot after concerts as it's one of the few open late.

Vecchio Parioli next to the Barbican tube is a good italian restaurant and handy if you are coming by tube. Jugged Hare as above is also good and super close. You often see the orchestra having a drink there afterwards too if you are seeing the LSO!
