Westfield Stratford cinema - vue

Does anyone know the cinema at Westfield Stratford please? I have posted on here before because I have vertigo and I have trouble using escalators we would be going here if there are steps available. The website says the lift is out of order and DH tells me it has said that for ages.

Also, I would need to be able to get there from the station without using an escalator. Stratford station is very good for steps but I haven't been in the shopping centre if anyone knows the answers I would be very grateful. Thank you.

There are lifts inside the station, as well as in Westfield so it's possible to get around! There are many lifts going up to the entrance of the cinema, however IIRC there's only one lift once you get inside the cinema so it may be worth giving them a call.

Thanks, I figured it would be quicker to ask here as I tried to call with a different ticket query and they didn't answer

also I have experienced this, accessibility often doesn't have answers re stairs. So I thought I'd ask the lovely MNers first b

Oh missed the part where you can use stairs! The cinema is definitely only escalators/lift, at least for the first part. But maybe if you can get hold of them and the lift is broken, they might let you use the emergency stairs if accompanied?

My experience is Vue (as a company) is a bit clueless with accessibility ~ they'll agree to suggestions but don't really think things out themselves! Westfield for accessibility is amazing though, and they will contact units for you/find things out if you ask them. So if you still can't get through maybe give them a call instead?

Thank you

yes, stairs are fine, the station is very well connected for stairs but accessibility staff are often puzzled

except TfL, who are great and even have the option on their website, to plan a journey without escalators

went to another Vue recently and their lift wasn't working either but it was a small one so they had a stairwell in use normally
