We are off there for a week in August.

I would love to hear your travelers tips!

I've discovered the sea pool, the huge slop and slide and of course, the unmissable Bude tunnel.

Places to eat would be good for a family of 4 kids ages 12 and 9

Rosie's kitchen for loaded fries, pizzas and milkshakes.
Life's a Beach for lovely beach side food but quite expensive.
The Weir just down the canal for nice outdoorsy vibes.
Widemouth Manor for ocean views and a nice beer garden.

The beaches are beautiful and great fun. Get a body board and hit the surf. Take a pedalo on the canal.

Take a walk around Boscastle and Tintagel. Tintagel castle is great for exploring.

The Big Sheep in Bideford is brilliant.

Visit the Riverlife cafe.

Life’s a Beach. Scallops and gorgeous grilled fish. Sit outside even if it’s cold.

Sandymouth beach just along the coast is lovely - great cliff path walks, good NT cafe ( and car park) and the best surfing, although not at high tide.

A walk along the canal to The Weir.

Up the cliff to see the "Pepperpot" storm tower, recently moved due to.cliff erosion.

The Preston Gate Inn at Poughill (pronounced "Puffle") for good food and live music.

Bude Castle (museum/gallery) is worth a visit, it's free and has a nice cafe which overlooks the sea. They have various events happening on the lawn during the summer which are worth looking up. It's also right next to the canal and the beach.

On a wet day head to Splash or the Venue (bowling, soft play).
