Great to have a 50 something, successful, intelligent, warm, funny and incredibly stylish woman catching the attention of the nation…..what’s not to love.

She is awesome. The fringe makes me twitch in sympathy.

Do you think she can go out incognito, with different makeup and hair clipped back?

I do love the very occasional colour lipstick. The nude is a bit bland for me. But she’s a style icon and I’m not so there we go!

Apparently that’s why she does it.

I like her trajectory too- she’s sort of gradually grown with each passing year, no drama, no scandal or publicity seeking. Just talent and hard work.

Mysteryfemale · 24/01/2025 08:51

I love this thread. Just women being nice about a woman. Love the pic of young Claudia, and love the wedding dress story.

Alltheusernamesaretakennow · 24/01/2025 08:57

Love her style, she's unique. Also so spontaneous, quick thinking and funny, a breath of fresh air!

Lottapianos · 24/01/2025 09:02

She's terrific, absolutely perfect on the Traitors and on Strictly, in different ways. Her look is bonkers but also stylish, and I love that she's chosen a look that's uniquely hers. Her hair is so incredibly shiny - Head and Shoulders my arse! 😁

Found it!

I adore her, especially how funny she is about her very distinctive (and GREAT) beauty look. She always finds a new hilarious way to describe it – I interviewed her once years ago for a fashion mag vox pop and she delivers so much good material. She’s a scream.

PowerTulle · 24/01/2025 09:15

She’s just fab. I remember an interview ages ago where she was asked about her dark orange tan. She was so funny about it but basically replied that it was ‘her look’, she liked it and that was that.

More power to her I say!

FriendsDrinkBook · 24/01/2025 09:19

She's great. I love her style , particularly her coats.

RockStarMartini · 24/01/2025 09:21

I find the 'hey I'm so quirky' thing a bit annoying but I'm easily annoyed! I do think she's incredibly stylish and seems like a decent person.

HelloMyNameIsElderSmurf · 24/01/2025 09:38

Oh I love her and I covet her Traitors wardrobe SO much. However, given I am 5 foot nothing, in my 50s and rather broad of beam, I'd look like a sturdy Highland Duchess. Life is not fair.

Conniebygaslight · 24/01/2025 10:04

As a PP poster said, she is indeed a class act. I read her autobiography a few years ago and she comes across as hilarious and really down to earth. She is definitely a woman’s woman, adores her children too, which for me is always a bonus. Grew up with no mirrors in her house apparently. Love how she owns her own look regardless of others opinions.

Always liked her very much, her Traitors wardrobe is divine!

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 24/01/2025 10:30

She’s an icon. I adore her and want to be her.

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 24/01/2025 10:34

Love her - fiercely intelligent and funny woman - and her comments on Alexander particularly have been pure gold this season of Traitors.

Fluffyc1ouds · 24/01/2025 10:38

She's fantastic! I recently listened to her on the Off Menu podcast and cackled my way through it. She's very funny.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 24/01/2025 13:42

From reading these it sounds like she has done herself a disservice being in those shampoo ads. I avoid anything she is in as she struck me as annoying and trying too hard to be quirky/ wacky. It's a shame.

myplace · 24/01/2025 14:58

I believe endorsing H&S came after she mentioned using it- or it was scene in a background shot or something.

AnonKat · 24/01/2025 15:01

I love her! On graham norton recently, she cracks me up with her story telling.

NotNeil · 24/01/2025 15:22

She was on Where There's a Will There's a Wake being interviewed by Kathy Burke recently. She was hilarious - definitely someone who doesn't take herself too seriously.

TatlerMag · 24/01/2025 15:32

Name changed. I worked with her in the early 90s on Tatler Magazine. She was very nice, quite shy or reserved and I don’t think she had the fringe at least not as it is now. I haven’t seen the Traitors but I don’t watch much telly. I think she very much deserves her success, she has worked hard for years.
