I had a positive opk one evening and the following day lots of ewcm and pain. Progesterone blood test a week later confirmed ovulation. I went for a scan a couple of days later and no sign of ovulation ? Just some small follicles as if in the first part of my cycle according to the sonographer? What’s happened !!! I’m so stressed

It could be failed ovulation? So your body tried to ovulate, went through all the steps, but then no egg was released potentially x

Yes it must be that unfortunately it’s just I was told the bloods confirmed it happened so I’m surprised 😦

do you use BBT? I'd really recommend doing that as a way to check you've ovulated x

I’ve tried that before and it was never working for me so I gave up, I was getting conflicting information to scans ? I sometimes thought from it that i hadn’t ovulated when I had on a scan and that I had and like this month a scan was showing no ovulation so I gave up ! I was getting so annoyed with it 😂😂 I’m guessing that a scan is the definitive test over even bloods ? It’s just at the point now I don’t know what my body is doing 😭

well from my knowledge and I could be wrong the only way you can tell if you've ovulated is from either basal body temping or bloods but the bloods have to be taken on the right days and if you don't have the correct date when you've done it, it will say no ovulation. I believe bloods must be taken on 7 or 8DPO?

my cycles are all over the place, I've got suspected PCOS and endo so I'm always up in the air and the only way I feel in control is by temping as then I can see my temperature has rose a few days after I've had my positive OPK.

all this ttc malarkey is a pain in the ass - i feel for you love x

This is why I’m confused as progesterone bloods always are high enough to confirm ovulation but this month I booked a private scan as well to see what’s going on and it’s shown no ovulation . So now I’m waiting to see if my period arrives (and they are always regular so it confuses me even more)
